I guess I don't have to check to see who won. :-) Congrats!

The game was amazing. Butler came really close. The lead changed like 10 times during the game.

I just got back from Duke campus, it was insane. A pile of wooden benches in the middle of the campus set on fire, thousands of people going crazy. Good times.

One of the best games I've seen in a long time, though somehow I felt the whole way that Duke would win. Butler hung around but never built a lead larger than 2 or so and seemed to constantly be one Duke 3 pointer from having it blown open.

I really thought that last shot might go...

Also, Matt Howard needs to learn to be more circumspect about fouling people, or something.

Steve: it was tense that's for sure. Butler's defense was amazing, kept them in the game to the end.

You know everyone's talking about Butler now. Don't be too bitter.

LEP: yes good point. The difference is that in ten years they'll still be talking about Duke.

Indeed. Remember George Mason's run a few years back? A lot of people don't even remember their name, or call them "George Washington".

Strange that one enjoys a victory with vandalism. Wonder who is gonna clean it up and pay for new benches.

LOL chesstiger.

They actually build the benches for this, and have a permit to set them on fire in case Duke wins. It's all on the up-and-up.

It was soooo close, as a recent ESPN analysis of the final shot shows.

BTW: you may enjoy my series on the Smith-Morra....
